Weed Man Halifax Sponsors Local Para Ice Hockey Team

Weed Man Halifax is extremely proud to Sponsor the Halifax Sledge Grinders for the second season running. Initially, the team won our #WeedManCares community sponsorship contest for the 2017-18 season. After seeing the team in action, we decided to extend a $500 sponsorship to them for the 2018-19 season.

The Halifax Sledge Grinders is a competitive Para Ice Hockey Team for players of all abilities. The team is co-ed and has players ranging from 14 to 60 years old, some with disabilities and others without. Weed Man Halifax also sponsored the December Maritime four team tournament, held at the BMO Centre in Bedford. The tournament was a huge success and the Sledge Grinders ended up coming away with a silver medal! It is an absolute pleasure to sponsor a local team that is so passionate about and talented at their sport. Go team!
